Mike Pacholok, Chief Purchasing Officer, City of Toronto

Mike Pacholok is a Chief Purchasing Officer of the City of Toronto’s Purchasing and Materials Management Division with past experience as a municipal law solicitor with an emphasis on procurement law. Under his leadership City of Toronto implemented Social Procurement policy. City of Toronto is currently playing a leadership role for Canadian public institutions that are interested in channeling their procurement needs to help build more equitable communities, deploying a unique strategy that blends elements of the American and European approaches.

Isvar Prashad, President and Founder, Carter Bennet Group Canada

In his early twenties, after graduating from McGill University,  Isvar created his first million-dollar business designing made-in-Canada handbags, sold throughout the world. Over the last 20 years, Isvar has founded multiple businesses in diverse fields such as fashion, health and wellness, and real estate. Today, Isvar is President of the award-winning Carter Benette Group, a national janitorial company whose vision is to “help create immaculate space for people to enjoy and employees to excel.” CBG Canada is the winner of CAMSC’s 2017 Small Business of the Year Award. An avid supporter of mentorship, Isvar has been a volunteer retail advisor to UNICEF, served as an original Youth Advisor to Futurpreneur Canada and has been a mentor to several university entrepreneurship programs.
