The global 2SLGBTQI+ travel market is valued at more than US$200B annually. Canadian destinations are well-positioned to grow their share of this market. But in order to be successful, destinations and operators must ensure that 2SLGBTQI+ customers feel welcome, accepted, and served in a way that exceeds their expectations and accommodates their needs.
To support efforts in developing market-ready products, CGLCC’s Navigating 2SLGBTQI+ Diversity and Inclusion in the Tourism Industry helps tourism-based businesses learn about 2SLGBTQI+ inclusion and how to effectively understand, value, and serve 2SLGBTQI+ customers and employees.
Tj (he/they) works to support organizations in expanding their capacity to meaningfully include and serve 2SLGBTQIA+ folks. His work is informed by filtering his business & HR education through 20+ years of lived experience and decade of 2SLGBTQIA+ community advocacy. Driven to help improve the workplace and consumer experiences of their fellow queer and trans humans, Tj loves holding space that empowers people to investigate their biases and consider the perspectives of others.
